• DN800-08 Sea – 2 (2, 2, 3) balls

Crochet Hook: US D-3 (3.25mm) and US G-6 (4mm) or sizes to obtain gauge
Extras: Yarn needle, one ¾” button
Gauge: 22 sc and 24 sc rows = 4″ using smaller hook. Use any size hook necessary to obtain specified gauge.

BODICE BACK
With smaller hook, ch 54 (59, 64, 69) loosely.
Row 1 (RS): Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch to end of row – 53 (58, 63, 68) sc.
Rows 2-7 (8, 9, 10): Work even in sc.
Shape Armholes—Row 1: Sl st in each of next 3 (4, 4, 5) sc, ch 1, work in sc to last 3 (4, 4, 5) sc, turn – 47 (50, 55, 58) sc.
Rows 2-6: Sl st in next sc, ch 1, work in sc to last st, turn – 37 (40, 45, 48) sc.
Rows 7-15: Work even in sc.
Straps—Rows 1-11 (12, 13, 14): Work even in sc separately on 6 (7, 7, 8) sts at beg and end of row, leaving center 25 (26, 31, 32) sts unworked. Fasten off.
BODICE FRONT: Work same as Bodice Back to Row 6 of armhole shaping.
Rows 7-8 (9, 10, 11): Work even in sc.
Straps: Work same as Bodice Back until piece measures same as Back. Fasten off.
Assembly: With RS facing, sew right side seam, leaving left side seam open for button tab. Sew top edges of straps.

SKIRT—Base Row: With smaller hook and WS facing, join yarn with a sl st in right corner of lower edge of bodice, ch 1, work 56 (60, 68, 76) sc evenly across front and across back, join with a sl st in beg ch-1 – 112 (120, 136, 152) sc. Change to larger hook.
Rnd 1: (Ch 3, 2 dc) in first sc, * sk 3 sc, (ch 2, 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc, ch 2) in next sc, sk 3 sc **, 3 dc in next st; rep from * to end of rnd, ending last rep at **; join with a sl st in third ch of beg ch-3.
Rnd 2: Sl st to center of second dc (Shell center), ch 1, (1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc, ch 2) worked in same st, * 5 dc in ch-3 sp **, (ch 2, 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc, ch 2) in center of next Shell; rep from * to end of rnd, ending last rep at **; join with a sl st in beg ch-1.
Rnd 3: Sl st to ch-3 sp, (ch 3, 4 dc) in same sp, * (ch 2, 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc, ch 2) in center of next Shell **, 5 dc worked in next ch-3 sp; rep from * to end of rnd, ending last rep at **; join with a sl st in beg ch-1.
Rnd 4: Sl st to Shell center, ch 1, * (1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc, ch 2) in same st, 5 dc in ch-3 sp, ch 2; rep from * to end of rnd; join with a sl st in beg ch-1.
Rnd 5: Rep Rnd 3.
Rnd 6: Sl st to Shell center, ch 1, *(1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc, ch 2) in same st, 7 dc in ch-3 sp, ch 2; rep from * to end of rnd; join with a sl st in beg ch-1.
Rnd 7: Sl st to ch-3 sp, (ch 3, 6 dc) in same sp, * (ch 2, 1 sc, ch 3, 1 sc, ch 2) in center of next 3 dc Shell **, 7 dc worked in next ch-3 sp; rep from * to end of rnd, ending last rep at **; join with a sl st in beg ch-1.
Rep Rnds 6-7 until skirt measures approximately 8½ (9, 9½, 10)”. Fasten off.

FINISHING: Button Tab—Row 1: Join yarn with a sl st to Back Bodice along open side seam, ch 1, work 6 (8, 8, 10) sc evenly across side – 6 (8, 8, 10) sc).
Rows 2-4: Ch 1, sc in each sc across.
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in each of next 2 (3, 3, 4) sc, ch 2, sk 2 sc (buttonhole made), 2 (3, 3, 4) sc.
Rows 6 and 7: Ch 1, sc in each sc across – 6 (8, 8, 10) sc. Fasten off.
Edging: Work 1 rnd of sc around neck, armholes and button tab. Weave in ends. Block if desired. Sew button opposite buttonhole.
