After you reach your desired length, continue the next round with hdc in every Sts with A Color again. Then, make 2tr (treble crochet) in each hdc till end. This will produce neat ruffle to your edging. Weave it off and tidy it neatly.
Turn the backside of the dress towards you. using 4.00mm hook,
You can pick any side you would like to start your sc and I pick the left line. Make sc in every Sts around the neckline til the last Sts, make 10 chain for a button holder. Attach a button and sew it neatly. Please refer picture below. (25 sts + 10 chain). After done, weave in any left yarn and tidy it nicely :). Tada! Done!
Final touch (this is an optional)
Usually, crocheting/knitting with acrylic yarns will produce fuzzy on the surface of the project. Sometimes the texture comes out a bit stiff and scratchy. This doesn’t mean your project has ruined. With a little technique, we can turn the project into fabulous handmade. So, what I mostly do:
1. After finish, I’ll use lint remover to remove any hairy that looks annoying to me as much as I can do. It is very impossible to remove them completely unless you do the “Killing Acrylic” method, which, useful only on certain projects. And I don’t suggest that!
2. Since I learnt how to “steam blocking”, most of my project will be blocked with steam iron. Steaming and blocking your project especially for someone like me who use acrylic in most of my project, will help the project to be softer, fluffy, and less fuzzy also, not itchy! However, again, make sure you don’t KILL your project or otherwise, it will turn into your worst nightmare! :O
At last, after blocking and dry, it’s time to wash!
Don’t hesitate to throw your project in the washing machine cause most of acrylic yarns are best to wash with washing machine. I’ll put them inside the net and pour a little softener. Then dry it using a hanger or just dry them flat on the table. Once dry, you will be amazed to see your project turn out just nice and beautiful.
Last but not least, thank you for trying out my pattern. This pattern is very simple, once you do, it will be so addictive to make more! 🙂
