Material:
3.50 mm crochet hook
NAKO BABY LUKS MINNOS
or any DK yarns/10 ply
(Yarns available at www.daknit.com for purchase)

Accesories:
4 x Buttons of your choice
Scissor to cut
Sewing needle and thread to sew buttons

Abbreviations:
Ch = chain
Sc = single crochet
Dc = double crochet
Dc2tog = double crochet 2 together to decrease
Ss = slip stitch
Hdc = half double crochet

Size: 0 – 3 months old

NOTE:
1. Always slip stitch on first chain of chain 3/chain 2/chain 1.
2. Marker is necessary if you need to mark your start.

TIPS:

Using this yarn, I started with chain 13 for 0-3 months old. If you need to make a bigger size, below is the numbers of chain that I always use if i need to make bigger size. Here is my guide:
for 0-3 months old, chain 13/14
for 3-6 months old, chain 15/16
for 6-12 months old, chain 17/20

My booties are very easy to follow. Most of the increase are done on first chain and last chain. So if you are making for bigger size than 0-3, just follow the way how I crochet for 0-3 months old without need to change the way I increase  and decrease my sole. For example, my sole increase is as follow:

chain 13, 2 dc in same st (here you will get 3 sts in same stitch), ~~~~~~ , 6dc in last ch, ~~~~~ before slip stitch, make 3dc in same st again and slip stitch.

Here, i make 6——6 increase of the sole. Then 12 —– 12. Then 1 1 1 1 8 1 1 1 1 ———- 1 1 1 1 8 1 1 1 1 (this will make sense once you start making one 🙂 )

Well.. hope you can understand! ^-^

Now.. let’s stop talking and start doing!

Instructions:
Sole

Round 1:  Ch 13, 2dc in 4th ch. dc in next 8 sts, 6 dc in last sts. Don’t turn, continue making Dc in next 8 sts, 3dc in next sts, slip stitch.

Round 2: Ch3, dc in same st, 2dc in next 2 sts, dc in next 8 sts, 2dc in next 6 sts, dc in next 8 sts, 2dc in next 3 sts, ss.

Round 3: Ch3, dc in same sts, 2dc in next sts, dc in next 16 sts, 2dc in next 4 sts, dc in next 16 sts, 2dc in next 2 sts, ss.

Round 4: Ch 3, dc in every sts till end, ss. (47 sts + chain 3 as total)

Shaping

Round 5: Ch3, dc in next 13 sts, dc2tog in next sts for 10 times, dc in next 14 sts, ss.

Round 6: Ch2, hdc in every sts till end, ss.

Round 7: Ch1, sc in every sts till end, ss.

Repeat Round 1 – 7 for second pair.

Cut yarn and weave it off.

Accessories ( I call it Piece) x make 2:
Round 1: Ch13, Dc in 4th ch, dc in next 8 sts, 3dc in last sts, do not turn, continue making dc in next 9 sts, ss.

Round 2: Ch3, 2dc in next sts, dc in next 8 sts, 2dc in next 3 sts, dc in next 8 sts, 2dc in last sts, ss.

Tie, cut yarn and weave it off.

Now you have 2 Piece with you, using the button, attach the buttons on both side of the Piece and sew it together on front part of booties (Refer picture below).

IMG_20140314_181945 IMG_20140314_182014Sewing time!

Now.. let’s make more!  Alhamdulillah.. I hope you enjoy making <3

Baris 6: Kait P sehingga akhir baris.

** Red FONT adalah teknik Increase.

Bahagian Increase bermula:

Baris 7: K11, YO, K2, YO, K8, YO, K2, YO, K22, YO, K2, YO, K8, YO, K2, YO, K11 (menggunakan teknik Yarn Over, kita akan increase 8 stitches sepanjang baris)

Baris 8: Kait P sehingga akhir baris

(Dengan menambah 1 Sts di bahagian baris Right Side sebelum dan selepas K2 dengan menggunakan Yarn Over seperti pada baris 7, teruskan mengait mengikut paten baris 7 dengan terus menambah “increase” pada  setiap baris right side, di mana setiap baris Right Side kita akan akan increase 8 sts, dan kait purl sehingga habis baris pada bahagian Wrong Side, teruskan langkah ini sehingga anda mencapai 180 sts sebelum kita membahagikan bahagian lengan – Untuk ini, jumlah baris anda bermula dari cast on ialah 32 baris.

Pembahagian lengan:

Old Shale Pattern Stitch (Gandaan 18 Sts),

Bermula di bahagian Right Side (Odd row), dan Wrong Side (Even row)

Nombor 1:      (K2tog x 3), *[(YO, K1) x 6 kali, (K2tog x 6 times)]* teruskan mengait dari symbol * ke simbol * untuk 5 kali lagi) sehingga tinggal 6 stitches yang terakhir, kait k2tog sebanyak 3 kali (maksudnya, k2tog, k2tog, k2tog). Baris seterusnya,

Nombor 2:      Knit hingga akhir baris, kemudian baris seterusnya

Nombor 3:      Knit hingga akhir baris, kemudian baris seterusnya

Nombor 4:      Purl hingga akhir baris

Kemudian, knit Nombor 1, baris seterusnya, buat bind off (BO) sehingga akhir baris. Cut yarns, weave off.

How To Pick Up Knitting Stitch ataupun klik http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htAHtNnuE7Q )

Hanya kait Knit sahaja.

Kemudian, sebelum anda Bind Off, bolehlah kait lagi satu baris secara PURL. Setelah Purl semua baris yang terakhir, Bind Off semua sts.

Bahagian Button Band:

Pick Up 32 stitches bermula dari baris Cast On pada hujung bahagian depan, Setelah memperolehi 32 sts, kait Ribbing 2 x 2. Buat ribbing sebanyak 8 baris, kemudian Bind Off.

Pick up 32 sts.
Baris 1: (k2, p2) ulang langkah ( ) sehingga habis baris
Baris 2: (K2, p2) ulang langkah ( ) sehingga habis baris
Baris 3: (K2, YO,p2tog, K2, P2, K2, P2) ulang langkah ( ) sehingga habis baris
Baris 4: (k2, p2) ulang langkah ( ) sehingga habis baris
Baris 5: (K2, p2) ulang langkah ( ) sehingga habis baris
Baris 6: (k2, p2) ulang langkah ( ) sehingga habis baris
Baris 7: (K2, p2) ulang langkah ( ) sehingga habis baris
Baris 8: (k2, p2) ulang langkah ( ) sehingga habis baris

Bind off baris seterusnya.

Jahitkan butang kegemaran anda. Kemaskan jahitan. Done! J
