Assalamualaikum and good morning!

It’s great to finally get to sit back and updating this blog after a while. it’s now school holiday so more free time to do something i have planned.

Alright, lets see what i’ve been up too since few weeks ago.

Above picture is a sweater for my FB friend who just delivered a baby boy 🙂 I made it a bit bigger than newborn size. Always I love working with Alize Sekerim Bebe Batik (available at www.daknit.com). It is one of my most favourite yarns.

I have mentioned this one in my previous post. Oh momy, I love how it turns out at the end. I have made a heavy modification here from the original pattern (Silver Cardigan). It’s quite big for my daughter, Jasmin. I used Nako Hosgeldin, it is very very soft and drapes beautifully. I can say that this is the most softest yarns we have in store currently. I totally fall in love with Hosgeldin and now also become my most favourite yarns too.

This will be a shawl soon. It’s a request by one of my colleague that I just recently knew during the SPM days. She wants it by 13th so I hope to finish it by 12th. The stitch is very simple. I found the pattern in ravelry (again). if you would like to try this out, search out for shawl v-stitch ok 🙂

This hat is also for my FB friend. I made a very simple baby beanie and attach a pom pom to make it look more attractive. The yarn is also very soft.

And lastly, this one is our customer’s pre order yarns. Alhamdulillah they finally arrived safely. It’s Nako Saten, Alize Sekerim and Nako Vals (Nako vals is coming soon!)

My latest project and good news! :)

Today, I’m planning to finish this one first. This blouse suppose to be made in my daughter’s size. Since I start without measuring the gauge first, obviously its my fault that it turns 3x times bigger! And thus, it turns out to fit my youngest sister’s size (S). Using second ball now, hope to finish this by tomorrow, insya Allah.

nako Alhamdulillah.. for the passed 2 weeks, we have been working hard and made many plans only to make our lovely customers feels happy whenever they shop at Da’Knit. After we made a long talk and face-to-face meeting with some of the yarns company in Turkey such as Nako, Alize, Ayaz and some more, at last, we decided to bring more stocks of Nako brands into our shop based on our customer’s demand. Alhamdulillah, however, the meeting and discussion with every company went very very well. Insya Allah, when we have more chances and rezeki, next time, we also decide to put more of Alize, Oren Bayan, Kartopu, Ayaz or any brands in the shop. More yarns, more choices to pick! Isn’t it? 🙂

As the communication was well done between both parties, and insya Allah, hopefully, before the end of the year, the new stocks will arrive safely. Do pray for us too 🙂

Experimenting before publish..

Assalamualaikum dan salam sejahtera 🙂

I’ve been experimenting my kopiah for the pass week. This is to ensure that my written instruction is correct after I found a small mistake in my writing therefore I need to re-do it again. So far, I made the correction for almost 5 times@_@! I’ll be writing again today to get the final result. Once I feel satisfied, I will publish it by tonight or tomorrow, insya Allah 🙂
(NOTE: I will write two sizes, for adult and for kids. I’ll give some tips on how to reduce the size into baby size in my pattern too :)) Stay tune!

Apa yang saya belajar hari ni…

Assalamualaikum dan selamat tengahari!
Sejak semalam, sambil saya cuba menyiapkan shawl yang semakin lama semakin lambat di kait hehe… sambil-sambil itu saya mula mengait dress lagi. Saya suka mengait dan disamping mengait saya suka belajar dari apa yang saya dapat sewaktu mengait, contohnya, kesesuaian benang, kelebihan benang, saiz yang diperolehi, kekurangan dan kelebihan yang diperolehi sepanjang proses mengait dan percubaan pelbagai jenis benang bagi menambah pengetahuan dan kemahiran saya dalam bidang ini.
Untuk itu, dress yang saya sedang kait kali ini, saya menggunakan lagi Benang Kait Nako Luks Minnos (benang popular di Daknit.Com). Selalunya saya akan bermain dengan benang ini menggunakan saiz jarum 3mm/3.5mm ataupun 4mm.
Sepanjang mengait menggunakan 3 saiz ni, saya lebih suka menggunakan saiz 4mm di mana hasil kaitnya lebih lembut dan menghasilkan texture yang gebu apatah lagi benang ini adalah benang khas untuk bayi. Saya juga gemar memberikan anak saya memakai benang ini kerana texturenya yang tidak gatal, selesa dan sejuk (lebih-lebih lagi jika dikait lace).
Apa pun, percubaan pelbagai benang dan jarum banyak membantu untuk menghasilkan kaitan yang lebih bermutu dan bernilai. Insya Allah..

My weekened project :)

10 March 2013 – Sunday

Assalamualaikum.. another Sunday is here 🙂 The only day I can do things I like. Busy days keep haunting me lately. Alright.. do you see the picture above? Yep.. very cute isn’t it? I found this picture over the internet and share it on my page just for inspiration. And somehow, one of our lovely customer made a request for me to knit exactly as how in the picture. wah.. a new challenge cause i am not sure if the pattern is available.

So.. after go thru the discussion, i finally decided to take the challenge and knit one. Actually the colour is much softer than the picture above. The contrast is too strong 🙁 but I’m very happy with my own progress. Let’s see how it will turns out soon.

In the meantime, I can’t help myself but to do a new project, very simple project. I will share with you in my next post.

A little story to share..

One of my friend, also a colleague, well.. lets just say that she is now in “lovey-dobey” mood 🙂 She was asking me to crochet something as a gift for her someone special. She kept asking me what will be a great gift so my suggestion is a hat, or.. a snow cap. Since the man is living in 4 seasons country, so it will be perfect to wear on winter or even during cold spring. Hihihi… it was funny, at first, she so excited to make the hat by herself, but then, don’t know why suddenly she changed her mind and ask me to do, but my best colleague offered to complete the hat :). So the hat is done by two persons, I did the top, and my best colleague did the body. And the result was awesome 😀 So, I wanted to do something similar using the new yarns I bought and i’m planning to make more of them. Simple hat, yet nice 🙂

Here are my new yarns, Nako Rekor, soft and the texture is a bit fluffy when knit/crochet. 100% acrylic but really nice and I love it. I used the orange/peach colour to crochet the hat i showed you just now. I’ll do it slowly.. insya Allah.
