Book Review: Maran Illustrated Knitting & Crocheting

51MuqIYR2YL
Ulasan Buku//Book Review:
Sewaktu saya mula-mula belajar mengait jarum kait dua pada tahun 2009, youtube.com adalah di antara guru pertama yang banyak membantu saya memahami -step by step- how to knit. Saya juga cuba mencari beberapa buku antaranya seperti Big Book of Knitting, Teach Yourself Visually Knitting, Not Your Mama’s Knitting, dan beberapa buku yang lain.

“When I first learnt to knit around 2009, youtube.com is one of my first teacher that taught me step by step how to knit. Besides that, I also searched and bought many kind of books such as Big Book of Knitting, Teach Yourself Visually Knitting, Not Your Mama’s Knitting and few more”

Iaitu Maran Illustrated Knitting & Crocheting.

“When I want to purchase a new book, looking for download version is what i mostly do when I want to have a look before deciding to purchase the book. Especially, when it is very difficult to find good books here in Malaysia. Reading the reviews and seeing the content helps me to get the idea what kind of book is this. To avoid frustration, I made many searched before buying. Finally, I found this book named, Maran Illustrated Knitting and Crocheting”

“In 2010, I made my first knitted Vest for adult with the help of this book! Alhamdulillah, Without doubt, I can say that this book is one of the best book I have ever used to learn Knitting and Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to own the hardcopy of this book and I have no regret at all”

“I recommend this book for beginners or for starter who wants to learn knitting. This book is the best teacher that can teach you how to knit. The explanation along with a clear pictures are easy to understand without hassle”

“Besides knitting, a bonus for you! This book also teaches you how to crochet”

Usaha tangga kejayaan bak kata pepatah

“This book won 5 stars among the 30 readers in Amazon.Com, which tells us that we should have this book in our bookshelf!”Therefore, please don’t be afraid to invest on books. As we all know, there is no FREE knowledge as the good one always ask for some pennies! ๐Ÿ™‚

knitting, crochet, benang, etc.. :)

Assalamualaikum and good morning!

It’s great to finally get to sit back and updating this blog after a while. it’s now school holiday so more free time to do something i have planned.

Alright, lets see what i’ve been up too since few weeks ago.

Above picture is a sweater for my FB friend who just delivered a baby boy ๐Ÿ™‚ I made it a bit bigger than newborn size. Always I love working with Alize Sekerim Bebe Batik (available at www.daknit.com). It is one of my most favourite yarns.

I have mentioned this one in my previous post. Oh momy, I love how it turns out at the end. I have made a heavy modification here from the original pattern (Silver Cardigan).ย  It’s quite big for my daughter, Jasmin. I used Nako Hosgeldin, it is very very soft and drapes beautifully. I can say that this is the most softest yarns we have in store currently. I totally fall in love with Hosgeldin and now also become my most favourite yarns too.

This will be a shawl soon. It’s a request by one of my colleague that I just recently knew during the SPM days. She wants it by 13th so I hope to finish it by 12th. The stitch is very simple. I found the pattern in ravelry (again). if you would like to try this out, search out for shawl v-stitch ok ๐Ÿ™‚

This hat is also for my FB friend. I made a very simple baby beanie and attach a pom pom to make it look more attractive. The yarn is also very soft.

And lastly, this one is our customer’s pre order yarns. Alhamdulillah they finally arrived safely. It’s Nako Saten, Alize Sekerim and Nako Vals (Nako vals is coming soon!)

Alright, I better stop now and will write again soon. Thank you for hopping by and May Allah swt bless us all. Amin..

My latest project and good news! :)

PB211061Today, I’m planning to finish this one first. This blouse suppose to be made in my daughter’s size. Since I start without measuring the gauge first, obviously its my fault that it turns 3x times bigger! And thus, it turns out to fit my youngest sister’s size (S). Using second ball now, hope to finish this by tomorrow, insya Allah.

Nako Hosgeldin is a very very soft baby yarns, very comfortable to skin and smooth as the baby skin. Available for purchase only at www.daknit.com. Do hop by!

——————————————————————————————————————————————-

nakoAlhamdulillah.. for the passed 2 weeks, we have been working hard and made many plans only to make our lovely customers feels happy whenever they shop at Da’Knit.ย  After we made a long talk and face-to-face meeting with some of the yarns company in Turkey such as Nako, Alize, Ayaz and some more, at last, we decided to bring more stocks of Nako brands into our shop based on our customer’s demand. Alhamdulillah, however, the meeting and discussion with every company went very very well. Insya Allah, when we have more chances and rezeki, next time,ย  we also decide to put more of Alize, Oren Bayan, Kartopu, Ayaz or any brands in the shop. More yarns, more choices to pick! Isn’t it? ๐Ÿ™‚

As the communication was well done between both parties, and insya Allah, hopefully, before the end of the year, the new stocks will arrive safely. Do pray for us too ๐Ÿ™‚

Dress oh dress..

553593_614598941896954_1442272833_nFor the passed 3 days, I’ve been working with my new pattern. I really need to have at least few knitted dress in my pattern collections therefore the first thing I do is measuring one of my daughter’s dress as a sample before I begin.

I used Ice Magic Baby. Knitting with trial and error. Getting the right gauge, pointing down all the important calculations as I knit. So far, it goes well I can’t promise to show the result of my dress today, but hopefully I can complete it within next week.

The pattern will be available for purchase. oh yes, insya Allah i will also include photos tutorial for easy reference.

so, wish me luck and my hope is to encourage more newbies knitter to advance their knitting skill with this new pattern and tutorial.

P/S: I also need one person who can help me by being my pattern tester. Please inbox us for further details. Pattern tester must be committed with giving us full feedback, honest comment and suggestions. The advantage of being my pattern tester is you will:
