Free Crochet Pattern: Angora Tam

Angora Tam
Lion Brand® LB Collection® Angora Merino

GAUGE:

7 pattern reps = 4 in. (10 cm)
Note: One pattern rep consists of 1 hdc and 1 ch-1 sp. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

NOTES:

1. Ribbed Band is worked first, as a long strip. The ends of the Band are sl stitched together to form a ring.
2. The sides and crown (top) of the Tam are worked in continuous rnds from the Band upwards. Do not join rnds and do not turn. The first rnd of the Tam is worked into the ends of rows across one long side edge of the Band.
3. Tam is shaped by first increasing and then decreasing sts.
