Free Tutorial: How To Knit Top Down Baby Cardigan

Assalamualaikum and good morning!

Well, let me get this straight to the point! I stumbled upon on a very very clear instruction and tutorial on how to knit a top down baby cardigan. It is awesome! It is what I actually need for my own reference too! Remember I was saying that I will try my best to create a tutorial for knitting a simple cardigan? For the passed 3 months, my brain was working hard in order to find a best way to present my ideas/tutorial on a paper though actually it’s a very simple work. However, because I’ve been thinking with too much details, it took longer than I expected. The more I try to figure out, the more I confuse.  Well, obsessive thinking is not healthy. LoL. What I mean is, things that is actually simple can turn into a complicated matter when you do it in a hard way (and at the end, you will only going to trouble yourself) and so, I decided to delay it for now. Moreover, in my current situation right now, I still need to work out on my gauge and measurement skills >_< (Means, more revision need to be done)

Also, I need to snap a clear photos of this tutorial, and for that one, I need to buy a new camera!

Since I am enjoying my school holiday at this moment, I’ll take the opportunity to start doing my own tutorial and hope I’ll be able to publish it before the school start again next year. What I need now is to write down an easy pattern and explain them in Malay Language. Insya Allah. May Allah swt make it easier for all of us. Amin.

Alright, so, here is the tutorial I was talking about. Have a try and enjoy your first Baby Cardigan! (Thousands of thank you to the author for her hard work!)

My latest project and good news! :)

PB211061Today, I’m planning to finish this one first. This blouse suppose to be made in my daughter’s size. Since I start without measuring the gauge first, obviously its my fault that it turns 3x times bigger! And thus, it turns out to fit my youngest sister’s size (S). Using second ball now, hope to finish this by tomorrow, insya Allah.

nakoAlhamdulillah.. for the passed 2 weeks, we have been working hard and made many plans only to make our lovely customers feels happy whenever they shop at Da’Knit.  After we made a long talk and face-to-face meeting with some of the yarns company in Turkey such as Nako, Alize, Ayaz and some more, at last, we decided to bring more stocks of Nako brands into our shop based on our customer’s demand. Alhamdulillah, however, the meeting and discussion with every company went very very well. Insya Allah, when we have more chances and rezeki, next timewe also decide to put more of Alize, Oren Bayan, Kartopu, Ayaz or any brands in the shop. More yarns, more choices to pick! Isn’t it? 🙂

As the communication was well done between both parties, and insya Allah, hopefully, before the end of the year, the new stocks will arrive safely. Do pray for us too 🙂

We hope to be one of the best knitting, crochet and yarns store in Malaysia, insya Allah. Last but not least, may Allah swt make it easier for all us in anything we plan to do and make. Pick up 1 Sts under armhole, move all 36 Sts to needles, pick up another 1 Sts under armhole, you will have 38 sts as total. Divide 38 Sts into two sections (18-18), knit all stitches using magic loop technique until your desired length or at least about 30 rows. Then, on the last round, PURL all the stitches, then Bind Off. This is to ensure that the sleeve doesn’t roll up. Repeat for second sleeve.

Pick Up 32 stitches at the edge of both right front and left front side (from cast on row) by making 2 x 2 ribbing (refer note).  For button hole, make 4 button holes on the left side with 1- 1 ½ cm gap between holes. Continue ribbing until you have 8 rows, then bind off. Below is detail instruction.
